Partnering & Building Physical Scores

17 & 19 October 2025
London
This workshop introduces original partner work exercises I have developed over years of research at the Grotowski Institute and beyond. The training begins with dynamic movement sequences to awaken the body and break habitual expression, then progresses into partner tasks where our bodies are shaped by each other’s presence.
Why Partnering?
Partner work is a core practice because it reshapes us. We are constantly influenced by the visible and invisible — people, objects, sounds — and this training builds the skills to anchor our presence within relationship. Patterns of movement are re-shaped by those of the partner, leading to new, unexpected behaviours. In this way, form and precision never become stylisation but a gateway to authentic presence — alive, relational, theatrically exact.
What We Explore
* Trust and risk-taking: falling, catching, supporting.
* Resonance and awareness between partners.
* Contact improvisation and Thai massage influences for tactile sensitivity.
* Partner scores: improvisations shaped into repeatable theatrical structures.
